Obama's Apology

Recently, President Obama has been going around to countries trying to repair damaged relationships. He has done so by apologizing for past behavior. He has come under scrutiny by other political parties because they think it shows weakness. Obama however is not ashamed of America in any way, he is only trying to show that he is nothing like our past president and is willing to fix bad relationships with other countires. By doing these apologies he is gaining new alies in troubled times.

Apology

This conclusion says that there are definite rules when making an apology. The first is accountability and punishment. This is very important in apologies because if you don't take responsibility for it then you aren't really apologizing. The author also says that the person apologizing must convince the person he or she is apologizing to that what happened will never happen again. He is saying that there is no point in apologizing for something if it is just going to happen again. The person apologizing must be able to learn from their mistakes and promise that it will never happen again or it is not sincere. There are very specific rules and guidelines to apologies and if they are not followed then you might never be fully forgiven. When followed correctly you have the power to make anyone forgive you.
